Common malfunctions in pumps
Common malfunctions that occur in pumps. Among the common malfunctions that occur in pumps is that the pump works but performs less than its estimated capacity or does not supply water at all:
1- The motor runs in the reverse direction... especially in pumps that operate on a three-phase electrical system
2-The pressure height is greater than the possible pump power
3- The pump’s intake hole is clogged by foreign materials, salt deposits, or the sides of the well collapse over the intake hole
4-The pump is clogged by an air bubble or air pocket. The presence of this pocket causes water to not exit the pump at all
5-The electrical voltage is lower than the amount required to operate the pump
6-The non-return valve above the pump is clogged
7- Pumping pipes are clogged or obstructed
8- An error in the electrical connection
9-Mechanical friction in the pump or engine
10- A hole occurred in the pumping and drainage pipes, causing water to leak before it reached the surface of the earth
