Deco Fix - Cementious tile adhesive

Product Description:

Deco Tile Adhesive is a high-strength, high-quality cement-based adhesive developed for gluing all types of ceramic and porcelain/porcelain tiles, as well as natural stone, marble, granite and mosaics to brick, rendered cement and concrete walls and floors.

Surface preparation:

All surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dust, grease, wax, oil, curing compounds and all other contaminants that could potentially prevent adhesive bonding.

The initial layer must be prepared using Deco Bond before paving.

The concrete should be allowed to cure for at least 28 days and the cement should dry 7 days before tiling. It is preferable to sand or smooth the surface

Smooth steel polished concrete should be mechanically abraded to increase adhesion.

Mixture:

Each bag of Deco Tile Adhesive Powder requires approximately 5.5 liters of water. Add the calculated amount of clean water in a clean bowl and slowly sprinkle DecoFix powder into the liquid while stirring constantly.

Get rid of the blocks.

Continue mixing until you get a consistency similar to toothpaste.

Leave the mixture for 2 minutes, then mix and stir again.

Application method:

Place the tiles firmly on the adhesive to ensure complete adhesion with a twisting motion.

The minimum thickness is 1 mm for walls and 3 mm for floors.

Make sure the covered tiles are fully backed with adhesive with no gaps underneath or behind them

Place the tiles on the adhesive before they peel off.

Do not move the tiles until the adhesive dries. Start grouting and restoration after 24 hours when the paving is solid.

Assembly/Restoration:

Use Deco Grout or Deco Grout SP allowing joint widths from 1.5mm to 6mm for walls and 3mm to 12mm for floors in accordance with AS3958.1-1991 paragraph 5.4.6.

Expansion joints:

Movement joints should be incorporated into the tile layout according to the following:

Plastic bags 25 kg.

Coverage area:

Covering comb 3mm*3mm to cover 7 square meters/bag

expiry:

Unopened bags can be stored for up to 12 months in cool, dry, weatherproof conditions. Bags should be stored high off the ground.

Contraindications for use:

Not suitable for tiling over flexible substrates, such as fiber cement boards, plastic gypsum boards, and timber.

Cleaning:

DecoFix can be removed from the tile surface using a damp cloth while the adhesive is still wet. Tools and equipment can be cleaned with warm water and detergent before the adhesive dries.

This product is non-toxic but contains cement. Use good occupational health and safety practices to avoid personal contact. Decorete recommends using dust masks, eye protection and wearing gloves when handling this product.
