Vaker water glass oil based
Vaker Product Name : Oil-based water repellent material
Vaker Guard SB - Solvented silane/siloxane water repellant
Origin: Germany
Product Description:
Deco Guard SB is a solvent based, petroleum based water repellent mixture of Silane/Siloxane and synthetic resins. It is used to provide protection against water in construction.
Uses:
Deco Guard SB protects masonry and other building materials from damage caused by water leaks and waterborne chemicals.
Deco Guard SB is not a surface coating.
It penetrates up to 0.6mm into treated surfaces and bonds with materials and substrates to provide long-lasting protection, even when cracks appear.
Deco Guard SB is used on neutral and alkaline substrates such as:
- Brick
- Natural and artificial stone
- Fiber cement boards
- All types of concrete
- Plasters and makes them
Deco Guard SB is suitable as a primer for exterior paints.
Advantages :
- 100% vapor permeability
- Good penetration depth.
- High resistance to alkalis.
- Effective even on wet substrates and layers.
- Rapid development of water repellent property
- Allows the substrate and substrates to breathe
- Does not change the appearance of the substrate
- Reduces efflorescence, flaking and crumbling
Application :
Immersion, preferably not under pressure, is the best technique for applying Deco Guard SB. Apply several coats, wet on wet, until the undercoat is saturated. In general, at least two applications are sufficient for all substrates.
Do not leave long gaps between layers. Apply the next coat when the previous substrate has absorbed and is no longer shiny (wet on wet. Works).
The undercoat should have no wet spots: it should appear dry; The required amount of Deco Guard SB depends on the degree of absorption of the primer
Best results are obtained by applying Deco Guard SB to clean, dry substrates. As a standard procedure, fresh concrete should be allowed to dry for 28 days before application. All redirections must be completed and allowed to cure for at least 3 days. Concrete repair and replacement must be completed prior to application.
Before applying Deco Guard SB, be sure to cover windows and other non-absorbent surfaces properly as the product cures quickly so it is very hard. If not impossible to remove after a few hours. Wipe up any stains on window panes immediately, using solvent if necessary.
Packing:
Deco Guard SB is available in an 18 liter plastic pail
Storage:
Deco Guard SB has a shelf life of at least 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored between 0°C and 35°C in the tightly closed original container. The container must be protected from sunlight.
Stay away from heat and burning flames.
Coverage area:
The consumption and effectiveness of Deco Guard SB varies according to the type of substrate/primer and should only be determined on site by testing a small area of the material to be treated and determining the consumption and number of coats required.
